Be Prepared to lay on a massage table for the full length of your appointment. There is a leg elevation pillow, and a bed warming option. Feel free to bring anything for your added comfort (noise cancelling headphones etc.) I do keep sterile blankets for you to use.

Please do not come to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or stimulants.

Please do not bring children or guests.

WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

HOW LONG WILL A SET OF EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

ARE LASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?

Lupine Lash only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin.

CAN I APPLY MASCARA TO EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness so mascara is not needed or recommended.

CAN I SWIM, SHOWER, EXERCISE, OR VISIT A SPA WHILE WEARING EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Please minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 48 hours of wear. After that 48-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas and certain facials is recommended because they can begin to loosen the bond.

HOW SOON CAN I WASH MY FACE AFTER THE EXTENSIONS ARE APPLIED?

The suggested time frame is 24-48 hours. For a guest with sensitivities, it is suggested to wash within the first 12 hours of application.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY NEW EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Avoid hot steam or sauna

Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl.

Brush with a disposable mascara wand daily.

TIP: Sometimes mornings are a mess! Wash your lashes with lash shampoo in the morning, gently cleanse the extensions with a lash brush and comb with a disposable mascara wand. (Available in aftercare kits).

IS THE PRODUCT FDA APPROVED? IS IT SAFE?

Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free. Some clients consider the process relaxing and even sleep through the appointment.

DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO PREPARE FOR THE SERVICE?

To remove any eye makeup, use an oil-free makeup remover to cleanse your lashes prior to the appointment as well to remove any leftover mascara. If you have extensions currently, they should be given a lash bath daily and before appointments.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO APPLY EYELASH EXTENSIONS AND HOW IS IT DONE?

The application process for lash extensions normally takes about 3 hours for a full set of lashes and 60-90 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE LOOK I WANT?

We will have a consultation about what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very voluminous!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHOOSE TO HAVE MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS REMOVED?

Lupine Lash does offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel or cream remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.

If you have any of the following, understand you may not be a good candidate for lash extensions. These indications include: Inability to lay on your back for the duration of your service, Inability to get on/off a massage table, extremely watery or sensitive eyes, Allergies to adhesives, Thyroid Medication, Eye infections or injuries, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, hair loss due to Chemotherapy, Lasik surgery that is still healing, or if you have poor lash health/severely damaged lashes.

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?

The lash lift procedure has revolutionized old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions and the associated aftercare, this will last you 4-6 weeks and can be combined with a tint to leave the mascara behind.

IS LASH LIFT THE SAME AS A PERM?

No the Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of its predecessor. Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old-fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for this new procedure lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright-eyed enhanced look.

IS THE LASH LIFT PROCEDURE SAFE?

Yes. Lashes are lifted onto our specially shaped lifting pads before products are applied.

WILL THE LASH LIFT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No.

HOW LONG DOES A LIFT & TINT TAKE?

A lash lift can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.

HOW LONG WILL A LASH LIFT LAST?

A Lash Lift can last 4-6 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to care for your lashes daily, and have the process repeated every 4-6 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full time, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment.

WILL I HAVE A REACTION TO THE LOTION?

Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test 24 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing 2 drops of lotions behind the ear for 15 minutes. Wiping it off and waiting to see if any subsequent irritation occurs over the next 24 hours such as redness, itching or inflammation for example.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER A LASH LIFT?

Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY EYELASHES?

Gently, using mild lash shampoo and lash brush (Available in aftercare kits). Always wait 24 hours to do this after the procedure.

CAN I USE AN EYELASH CURLER?

No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.

HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE A LASH LIFT?

A lash lift will naturally drop after 6-8 weeks your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of one month if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state.
